I’m starting to get really excited about Dark Souls. It’s a month away, but it looks to be everything Demon’s Souls was and more. This is one of the few games that makes me wish I had hundreds of hours to sink into it, just because of how ridiculously good it’ll probably be. I did more or less all there was to do in Demon’s Souls, short of delving into some serious PvP (because online was really laggy, something I wasn’t going to bother with), but with only a month before MW3, I definitely won’t be able to do all that I want to do.

I would tell anyone who hasn’t played Demon’s Souls to at least owe it to him- or herself to try it out, but with Dark Souls a month away, and being fairly confident that it’ll play pretty similarly to its predecessor, it would probably make more sense just to encourage people to get Dark Souls.

Honestly, I think all self-proclaimed true RPG fans should at least be willing to try it out. Unless you like your games real nice and easy.

I haven’t played Demon Souls yet, but with all the praise I’m hearing for Dark Souls, I think I’m going to have to try it out asap.

Demon Souls was really really good. I still haven’t finished it though. No time.

Demons Souls was amazing. I’m not sure how even I had the patience to complete it though. It was very hard. But immensely satisfying. I especially liked the online elements. Would be good in this one if I could invite a friend though.

I’m getting it, but I’m not getting my hopes up about getting that far into it… The lack of a pause capability is incompatible with having kids around you. 

Note: I only grid with kids around. Nothing scary.

It would be nice to be able to coop freely, but I have to respect the designers for refusing to sacrifice immersion for accessibility in this case. Still, I think they should at least let you invite friends in NG+ or something.
