Let’s be honest here.  Weeooo isn’t doing that great, right now.  Neither did SNES, 3DS, PS2, or PS3.
At worst, this is the Nintendo Dreamcast. As I understand it, Dreamcast does still has pretty cultish following.

I only played through the first chapter and haven’t had time to pick up the game in almost two weeks. So can someone tell me how to dodge/block/take down these guys? It’s a month away, but it looks to be everything Demon’s Souls was and more. This is one of the few games that makes me wish I had hundreds of hours to sink into it, just because of how ridiculously good it’ll probably be. I did more or less all there was to do in Demon’s Souls, short of delving into some serious PvP (because online was really laggy, something I wasn’t going to bother with), but with only a month before MW3, I definitely won’t be able to do all that I want to do.

I would tell anyone who hasn’t played Demon’s Souls to at least owe it to him- or herself to try it out, but with Dark Souls a month away, and being fairly confident that it’ll play pretty similarly to its predecessor, it would probably make more sense just to encourage people to get Dark Souls.

Honestly, I think all self-proclaimed true RPG fans should at least be willing to try it out. Unless you like your games real nice and easy.

]]> What are some old school games that are still worth playing? tag:hypeup.net,2011:index.php/theforum/viewthread/.34 2011-09-27T10:58:08Z 0 Buri Nintendo Wii has the virtual console and the PSN store has a huge collection of PS1 Classics.  So it’s become pretty easy now to go back and revisit some of the games we might have missed.  What are some games that still hold up and are worth buying; and most importantly, worth dedicating to our time to.

I got about halfway through Soul Reaver: Legacy of Kain when I was in college before it locked up on me and I couldn’t finish it.  I’ve always wanted to go back and play that one again and finish it.  I’ve been told that Vagrant Story is killer, and The Legend of Mana rocks.  Also in college, I got to the final boss in Final Fantasy 7 but eventually gave up and never beat him/finished the game.  I have always carried that shame with me.  I would like to go back and play FF7 again as well.

Hadn’t played the first game, but heard this one was overall better and I know enough about Bat-Man not to really need to play it first.
A couple of hours in and I’m still struggling to see the appeal of the jumping around and throwing stuff mechanics, and getting slightly annoyed at having to scan the area for whatever little thing I need to mess with next.
Hoping it gets a bit better and flows a bit more, but right now I don’t have much motivation :/
Trade-in fodder :p
