Bethesda has announced (via IGN) the first game from Shinji Mikami's studio Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within, due sometime in 2014 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and next gen consoles.
Mikami, who is most famous as the creator of Resident Evil, left Capcom after Resident Evil 5, and the subsequent releases in the series have been without his input. The Evil Within marks his return to the genre that he essentially created with the first Resident Evil.
No gameplay details have been released, but the screenshots make it look like an over the shoulder 3rd person game, much like Resident Evil 4. The live action teaser trailer for the game is creepy as hell and reminded me of something out of Event Horizon.
IGN is promising a look at an early demo for the game on Monday, so we should get more details then. Here's the press release.
