According to next months issue of Game Informer, which features Metal Gear Solid V as it's cover story, next months prologue release "Ground Zeroes" main campaign can be completed in under two hours. Although this doesn't include side quests and platform exclusive special missions, it's still mighty short for a game that will run you $30 digitally or $40 for a physical copy.
Ground Zeroes is arriving on March 18 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, and is designed as an introduction of the world to Metal Gear Solid V. Creator Hideo Kojima says he wanted to give fans something to tide them over until the full game is released, but are we essentially paying for a demo? If Ground Zeroes becomes a financial success for Konami is this something that we're going to start seeing more of? Lets hope not.
For some perspective, in March of 2001, Zone Of The Enders was released for the PlayStation 2 with a free 2 hour long demo of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of The Patriots.
