Battlefield 4 for has been out for a couple of weeks now and you know what that means.. it's almost time to release the first DLC! I joke, I joke, yet I'm serious.
DICE has released a new trailer for the as yet undated but soon to be released Second Assault expasion pack for Battlefield 4. The DLC includes 4 re-imagined maps from Battlefield 3, updated to include Levolution events, more destruction and new paths. Included maps Caspian Border, Operation Firestorm, Operation Metro and Gulf Of Oman. Normally I'd be luke warm on the idea of releasing old maps and charging for them, but I'm actually pretty excited about this one. I never had a lot of fun with Operation Firestorm, but the other maps are some of my faves, especially Caspian Border. I really dig the whole concept that we're revisiting these locations 2 years later and seeing how they've changed after all the battles that have taken place there. Metro is now flooded, a new antenna tower has been built on Caspian Border, along with a huge actual wall for the border, and there's a giant sand storm raging on Gulf Of Oman. I think that's pretty cool and makes me excited for a fresh take on these maps that I've spent hours and hours playing previously.
