One of the many things that makes the Battlefield multiplayer experience so great is that you can play with two huge teams of 32 people on gigantic maps. Unfortunately that wasn't the case when Battlefield 3 released on PS3 and Xbox 360 a year and a half ago. Console versions of the game were scaled down to 12 player teams for a total of 24, with less capture points in Conquest (usually 3 instead of 5) and really low resolution graphics compared to the PC version.
With Battlefield 4 launching on next gen consoles this fall, there's no longer any such limitations. As shown during the Xbox One gameplay trailer, Battlefield 4 looks damn nice in 1080p 60fps on that machine.
In the below video interview with CVG, executive producer Patrick Bach talks bringing the game to the next generation.
