Final Fantasy XIV: ARR Gamescom 2012 Footage

Gamescom is here and with it comes new screenshots of the rebuilt FFXIV as well as a 13 minute video showcasing the new game engine.  Judging from the (albiet low quaility) video, improvements to the UI in appearance and customizability, improved camera and motion fluidity, jumping, and limit breaks(!) can be seen.  Is it wrong to be so excited that I won't be blocked by a three foot fence that stretches for miles anymore?  Also, as an extra bonus, I've included the "directors cut" FFXIV trailer released last week that was made "to cater to fans of Final Fantasy".  Apparently, the first trailer's intent was to appeal to a broader audience.

It LOOKS better but we’ll see if the game is actually fun.
